WHAT: Come celebrate creativity, fun, and community with us as we display this year’s Fun-A-Day projects!

HOW: Please let us know if you are thinking about showing your work, by signing up for the project here.  Bring all or some or just one piece of the work you’ve created for D.C.’s Fun-A-Day 2024 Showcase!  See Drop-off & Pick-up info below, please.

If you do not want to show your work OR you didn’t get to participate this year, THAT’S COOL!  Please come on and join us to celebrate creativity, productivity, and community in the new year!

Drop-off: All work must be dropped off at Rhizome Wednesday February 5th anytime between 5:30-7pm.  If those times don’t work for you, please email us to schedule a different time. (We have a gmail account, just put funadaydc at the beginning.)

Pick-up: All work must be picked up & removed from premises on Sunday March 2nd between 1-4pm.

2D & 3D work: Bring all or some or even one of what you’ve done for Fun-A-Day, ready-to-display or ready-to-hang.  There will be plenty of wall space to hang your work and a limited amount of table space to display your work.

Oral & Aural work: If you would like to read, sing, perform, or play what you’ve done for Fun-A-Day, that’s excellent!  Please email us by WEDNESDAY Feb. 5th (We have a gmail account, just put funadaydc at the beginning) so we can work out logistics & schedule.

Mysterious Third Type of work: Did you participate in Fun-A-Day this year, but perhaps your project has a certain je ne sais quoi and doesn’t lend itself to a visual or auditory display?  Awesome!  You can email us with a short description of your project.  This description could be simply what you did (sit-quietly-a-day, try-to-move-a-single-muscle-a-day, expand-my-vocal-range-a-day.) Or you could also tell us why you did what you did and/or how doing what you did made you feel.  We will print out and display your text in the show in our new je ne sais quoi display style.

Lastly, BIG UPs to the Rhizome DC for offering their amazing DIY space!  Literally, Fun-A-Day D.C. 2025 would not have been possible without them.  Also, did you know that Rhizome is working on their forever home?!  You can help Fun-A-Day and Rhizome DC by donating to Rhizome’s renovation funds.  Last year Fun-A-Day DC was able to donate $324 towards the purchase and renovation costs, thanks to the generosity of the 2023 and 2024 FADDC participants.  Any amount ($1, $10, $100, $1000) you can give is a huge help in keeping such a beautiful, welcoming space dedicated to DIY ideals.  Thank you, Rhizome.  We love you.
